Useful websites about Environmental Anthropology

A great source of current information about environmental anthropology can be found on the E-ANTH list serve “mailing list”. It has over 1,000 subscribers who engage in lively discussions and debates. The list serve also has an archive of posted messages that has a wealth of information. Anyone can join the list through an easy registration process. To avoid cluttering your inbox with messages select the “digest” function. This collects the messages and sends them to you in one daily or weekly message.

A very useful website is the American Anthropology Association’s Anthropology and Environment Section webpage.

Several anthropology departments around the country offer programs of study in environmental anthropology and their websites are good sources of information. Two highly regarded programs include the Environmental Anthropology Program at the University of Washington and University of Georgia’s Anthropology Program.
